 Flight,Vietnam veteran Aerial Rocket Artillery (Helicopter Gunship) folks are invited to Fort Bragg North Carolina to visit the active duty C 1-229th Blue Max July 9.
July 9, meet with the unit during the day and get to see the aircraft they are using today. We will attend a pilots briefing and talk with the pilots and enlisted guys. They have a Huey and a newly rebuilt Cobra on display. We'll have dinner with some of them that evening. July 10, golf (?) for those so inclined and/or an opportunity to tour the new Special Ops and Aviation Museums. Active Blue Max would appreciate it if anyone that came brought memories, stories, photos, movies and anything else that you want that is from your time in the ARA. Zac ran the golf option past us a while back but didn't get any takers. I'll bet that something can still get organized for Wednesday for those who wish to play.
